Dear Robert,
I was happy to hear your voice at the end of the phone when I
called that fateful Sunday morning. It was of course Memorial weekend, my
family and I were out of town, and things were unfolding for us. There was no
way of knowing how fast our situation could be addressed. Our biggest concern,
at that moment, was to have our grandmother's body handled with the utmost
respect and care.
It was very unsettling to me, since I had been told at least twice
that morning, by the nursing-home that my beloved grandmother's remains were
going to be shipped off to New York City. I wanted to work fast to prevent that from happening.When you responded, by saying that you were
going to have your son pick her up, right away, that was the best news of the
day.
Without ever meeting you before,
you insulated us with an environment of care & trust. I must say that your personal touch,
professionalism and efficiency, made one of the most heart wrenching moments we
will ever have to endure much easier to bear. We appreciate you setting up the
family viewing for us, so that we could say our private goodbyes. And, we
viewed your desire to take part in the final service for Mamma as a true sign of
your sincere commitment to the meaning of family.
At a time when we all have to consider the current economic
climate and our budgets, we all want to do best for our beloved loved ones. I
must say that your cost were moderate, which certainly put us at ease, and
allowed us to focus more on the very important lady, from whom we all have
come.
So Robert, I would like to extend the warmest thank you to the
Fives' family, from all of us here in the Lewis family.

Thank you so much for making this very difficult time easier for us. Everything was perfect, everyone was very attentive to anything we needed, the tribute video was so well done and everyone was so helpful. We would highly recommend Fives to everyone we know and would like to thank you again for helping us through this.

We lost our father last week, he was a wonderful man who deserved a wonderful farewell & he had just that by us choosing Fives Funeral Home. It's not something you know much about until that horrible time comes when you need to choose a place. Unless you know someone who used a particular place your kind of grasping at straws. Bob & Shawn had compassion & more or less led us in the right direction without trying to sell you on things you didn't need. I would 100% recommend Fives to anyone who is undecided on a funeral home. Thanks Shawn & Bob for all you did to make this an easier time in our lives.....
